These matches will take place at the Letzigrund Stadium
With the start of the new Swiss Football League season, top-flight football is also returning to the Letzigrund Stadium. From early August 2026, both FC Zurich and Grasshopper Club Zurich will play their home matches at Zurich’s football stadium, providing plenty of sporting highlights.
Top matches at the Letzigrund
FC Zurich will kick off the season at the Letzigrund on Saturday, 1 August 2026, against Servette FC. Just one day later, Grasshopper Club Zurich will host FC Lugano. A total of 20 league matches are scheduled up until the end of January 2027.
Fans can look forward to exciting fixtures against the country’s top teams. Among others, FC Zurich will host FC Basel, BSC Young Boys, FC Lugano and FC Lucerne. GC Zurich will also face high-profile opponents at the Letzigrund, including Young Boys, FC Basel, Servette FC and FC Lugano.
A particular highlight will be the two Zurich derbies: on 5 September 2026, GC Zurich will host FC Zurich, with the return fixture taking place on 12/13 December 2026.
