2. Data Processing
Personal data refers to information relating to an identified or identifiable person, such as name, email address, or IP address. On our website, personal data is collected only to the extent necessary to use certain functions. This includes leaving comments on posts, subscribing to our newsletter, and enabling push notifications in the browser or on a mobile device.
When you write comments on our website, we collect the data displayed in the comment field, as well as your IP address and user-agent string, to identify the browser and help detect spam. For this purpose, your comment may be checked by an automated service. An anonymized string (hash) of your email address may be created and sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using this service. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly displayed in the context of your comment. For more information, please see Gravatar’s privacy policy. Comments and their associated metadata are stored permanently so that follow-up comments can be displayed and managed correctly.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and email address are collected to provide you with regular information and updates. This data is used solely for sending the newsletter and is not shared with unauthorized third parties. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
When you enable push notifications, this is done based on your consent. Technical data such as device identifiers or browser information are collected to ensure messages are delivered correctly. This data is used exclusively for sending notifications and is not shared with unauthorized third parties. You can revoke the activation of push notifications at any time.
The collection and processing of your data is carried out solely based on legal requirements and your consent, as far as necessary, in particular to enable the functions you use on our website. All personal data is protected using appropriate technical and organizational measures.
