The stars of tomorrow at the Letzigrund Stadium.
Just two days after Weltklasse Zürich, the big stage at the Letzigrund Stadium will belong to Switzerland’s up-and-coming track and field athletes.
On 29 August 2026, around 540 qualified children and young people from all over Switzerland will compete against one another in the Swiss final of the UBS Kids Cup. On the same track as the international athletics stars, they will compete in the 60-metre sprint, long jump and ball throw, battling it out for the Swiss final titles in their respective categories.
The UBS Kids Cup is the largest youth development programme in Swiss sport and gets children and young people aged 7 to 15 across Switzerland active. The Swiss Final at Letzigrund marks the highlight of the summer season.
Competition in a world-class atmosphere
At the final, the young athletes can look forward to conditions just like those experienced by the big names. At the Weltklasse Zürich 60-metre sprint, the heats will be filmed and shown on the big screen in the stadium.
Well-known figures from the world of athletics will also be part of the day’s proceedings: top Swiss athletes will guide the children through the competition, offer tips and be on hand for autographs and meet-and-greets.
All information on travel, admission requirements, catering and other details can be found directly on the Weltklasse Zürich website.
A day of athletics for the whole family
There’s plenty going on off the track too. In the UBS Kids Cup Village, visitors can look forward to a programme of games and activities, the Topsy Cup for the youngest participants, and autograph sessions with Swiss athletics stars. Refreshments are also available at the stadium.
Entry to the Swiss Final is free for everyone. The stands are open to all, so families, friends and athletics fans can cheer on the young athletes from up close. The actual competition area inside the stadium is reserved for participants and officials.
Just two days after hosting the world-class stars of ‘Weltklasse Zürich’, the Letzigrund will once again become the stage for great sporting moments – this time for the stars of tomorrow.
